Ankara Social Sciences University's 2050 Carbon Reduction Target:

  • Green Infrastructure Investments: Making infrastructure investments for green energy production and converting existing infrastructure to renewable energy sources.
  • Carbon-Free Transportation: To encourage carbon-free transportation models such as electric vehicles in internal transportation, especially on-campus transportation and services.
  • Energy Efficiency: Raise energy efficiency standards in buildings and adopt technological innovations and conservation measures to reduce energy consumption.
  • Waste Management and Recycling: Develop strategies to improve waste management processes, increase recycling rates and minimize the carbon footprint of waste.
  • Awareness and Education Programs: To organize awareness and training programs on carbon reduction among students, staff and the community.
  • Carbon-Free Agriculture and Nutrition: To encourage sustainable nutrition by making agricultural practices carbon-free with hundred-year-old fruit trees on the university campus.

Achieving these goals will require collaboration and sustained effort between the university administration, students, staff and local communities. These goals will be an important step towards both environmental sustainability and social awareness.
